The Divine Cookbook was originally created in 2002 as a fundraiser. In 2001, my daughter Divine was diagnosed with a rare, inoperable brain tumor.
After they said there was nothing to be done, our neighbor offered the idea of creating a cookbook to help raise funds for alternative therapies. The pre-order sales helped to cover her herbal medicines and acupunture treatments.
Divine never saw the cookbook complete. The printing was donated after her passing. We printed enough copies to fulfill the orders made.
The second addition of the cookbook has been a new labor of love with a story of its own.
Fifty percent of the sales will go to charities that supported us during our battle with our daughter's cancer.
